CORTEN STEEL

Weathering steel best-known under the trademark "COR-TEN" and sometimes written without the hyphen as Corten Steel, A group of steel alloys which were developed to eliminate the need for painting, and form a stable rust-like appearance if exposed to the weather for several years. Corten Steel oxidizes naturally over time, giving it an orange–brown color and a rough and granular texture.

It has a very high tensile strength, and in spite of its rusted appearance it is actually more resistant to damaging corrosion than standard forms of carbon steel.ures, Foot Bridges, & Free Standing Structures.

These have become extremely popular in architectural application for both residential & commercial projects. It's used for siding and roofing materials in place of corrugated sheets. Its features are mainly weather resistant, maintenance free and beautiful aged patina that develops over time.
